In 1967, D.C. Thomson made an arrangement with ABC Television Ltd to adapt popular TV show The Avengers into a series of new comic strip serials for Diana magazine.
The beautifully drawn strips ran at two pages a week from issues #199 to #224.
Fifty years later, Big Finish made an arrangement with Studio Canal to adapt the comic strips into audio adventures, starring Julian Wadham and Oliva Poulet as Steed and Mrs. Peel.
