GERRY ANDERSON

Gerry Anderson (14 April 1929 – 26 December 2012) was an English television and film producer, director, writer and occasional voice artist.

He remains famous for his futuristic television programmes, especially his 1960s productions filmed with "Supermarionation" (marionette puppets containing electric moving parts).

Programmes in the 1960's include: Supercar, Fireball XL5, Thunderbirds, Stingray and Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.

Plus live action series UFO and Space:1999 in the 1970's and Terrahawks in the 1980's
